Communications Policy

How RigLodge LLC contacts you about requests, directory accounts, and optional updates.

Effective October 14, 2026 · Version 2026-10-14.1

Submitting an inquiry or creating an account does not subscribe you to general marketing. Optional marketing starts unchecked and can be withdrawn.

Replies you request

A hosting, location, or event-interest form asks us to reply about that subject. We may clarify equipment needs, discuss availability, or provide relevant location/event information. A reply does not confirm a place or attendance unless expressly confirmed separately. You can stop optional follow-ups at any time.

A request does not authorize unrelated promotions or another business's marketing. A requested location announcement can still be commercial email: we apply commercial-message requirements when a message's primary purpose is promotional.

Account and inquiry messages

Directory email supports address confirmation, password recovery, email changes, security notices, and inquiry notifications. These provide and protect account functionality. Keep your verified address accessible; never email us your password.

Sending an inquiry authorizes delivery to the selected host and a reply about that request at the reply email you provide. That address is saved with the inquiry and is not updated by account email changes. Hosts continue to see your current display name; earlier inquiries without a separately supplied reply email continue to show your current account email. Hosts must not add inquirers to unrelated mailing lists or promote other offers without separate permission. Report misuse through the listing or our contact form.

Main-site on-screen confirmations mean a request was stored for review, not that an automated email or calendar invitation was sent. Directory account emails depend on email delivery being available.

Optional RigLodge news

The separate, initially unchecked marketing choice covers occasional RigLodge news and new-location updates, as stated beside the checkbox. In the directory, this choice applies to your account email, not a different reply email entered for a host inquiry. It is not blanket permission for unrelated promotions, other businesses' offers, or every event invitation. We record the choice and notice version. Leaving it unchecked does not prevent account creation, a listing, or an inquiry. On a later inquiry, leaving it unchecked does not cancel an earlier opt-in; use Profile or the public unsubscribe form to withdraw that choice. Accepting terms or acknowledging privacy notices is not marketing consent.

We currently collect these preferences; the website does not run automated marketing campaigns. Commercial emails must identify RigLodge accurately, use truthful subjects, include our valid postal address and an accessible unsubscribe, and identify promotions as required. We do not request consent here for marketing calls or SMS.

Unsubscribe without an account

Use the public privacy request form and choose Unsubscribe to stop RigLodge marketing and optional follow-ups for that email across both services. Successful submission records a suppression immediately and withdraws the matching directory marketing preference. You can also use a commercial email's unsubscribe method or reply asking us to stop. We honor commercial-email opt-outs within 10 business days, without charge, a login, or identity documents. Email opt-out links will remain usable for at least 30 days after sending.

Directory Profile can turn off directory marketing. For all RigLodge optional communications, use the public unsubscribe form. Contact us to confirm a new subscription after a general unsubscribe; a later inquiry alone does not remove suppression.

Necessary account verification, recovery, security, and inquiry-delivery messages for directory features you use, and responses to a privacy request you made, may continue. We do not use these service messages to bypass a marketing opt-out. Unsubscribing does not delete earlier records; request deletion separately. We retain minimum suppression information to avoid unwanted messages.

Independent hosts send their own replies. A RigLodge unsubscribe does not automatically notify them or stop messages outside our systems. Ask the host directly to stop and report misuse to us. Deleting your directory account does not by itself delete or unsubscribe separate main-website inquiries; the public form can cover both services.

Changes and questions

The Privacy Policy explains handling and retention. We update the effective date and highlight material communication changes. Contact RigLodge LLC through the request form if a preference was not respected or you have a question.
